Forum Terms of service

Using the forum. By registering on this forum, you agree to use it properly, and to refrain from posting any content that is aggressive, offensive, defamatory, hateful, or in violation of applicable laws and regulations. You agree not to post messages inciting or evoking illegal practices, or violating the terms of use of the service.

The moderators and administrators of this forum will do their best to delete or edit any reprehensible messages that may be posted on the forum. You acknowledge that all messages posted on this forum express the opinion of their respective authors, and do not necessarily reflect the position of the moderators and administrators.

In order to ensure the moderation of this forum, any message violating the preceding provisions may be edited or deleted without notice by the moderators and administrators of the forum. Any abuse may also be sanctioned by banning or deleting the user account. We reserve the right to inform your access provider and/or the judicial authorities of any malicious behaviour.

Your personal data. By registering on this forum, you agree that it may collect some of your personal data. This data collection is done either through the information you provide us, or through the use of the services itself, for technical data used for the forum proper functioning. You can access, modify or delete your data at any time. Users under 16 years old certify that they have obtained the consent of their legal guardian in order to proceed with this registration. 1. Rights and Responsibilities
* 1.1 You have the right to your own opinion, and you have the right to agree or disagree with that opinion.

* 1.2 You have the responsibility to agree and/or disagree without attacking another person.

     Bad way to disagree
     Hillary says: I think spanking is good.
     Courtenay says: OMG YOU'RE ABUSING YOUR KID IF YOU SPANK THEM. You are an awful mom who deserves to be put in jail for spanking her!!!!!!

     Good way to disagree:
     Hillary says: I think spanking is good.
     Courtenay says: While you may spank your child, and that's your own choice, I don't because of these reasons 1.. 2.. 3.. etc...

* 1.3 You have the right to be treated with dignity and respect.

* 1.4 You have the responsibility to treat others with dignity and respect.

2. Behaviour:
* 2.1 Constant attention-seeking behaviour is frowned upon and may result disciplinary action.

     Examples of Attention-seeking behaviour:
     Hijacking another user's thread;
     Intentionally posting threads in the wrong forum, and;
     Up-staging another user.

3. Voting on Forum Matters
* 3.1 Any forum matter should be voted on, and every Full member has a right to vote.

* 3.2 Anytime a matter needs to be voted on, it will be posted in the Voting Polls and there will be a 24 hour voting period.

* 3.3 After a matter has been on vote in the Voting Polls for 24 hours, the matter may be what the majority of the votes dictate.
** 3.3.1 If the Mods or Admins feel that there weren't enough votes on a matter, the thread will become a global sticky.

     An example of not enough votes would be, less than 33% of the active Full Members.
     This does not mean that all matters that have less than 33% of all active Full Members will be global stickied.

* 3.4 Should a person be unable to vote, for any reason, the user can bring the matter back to the Voting Polls for a re-vote.

4. Posts and Threads
* 4.1 Should a thread get out of hand IT WILL BE LOCKED.

     Examples of a thread becoming out of hand:
     *A thread getting "hijacked" by another user;
     *Multiple posts of negative or rude remarks about any user, and;
     *Bashing or cyber-bullying any group, society, gender or race.

* 4.2 If anyone feels harassed or threatened, please refer to the Reporting System Here.

* 4.3 Should there be any continuous issues regarding any posts or threads, The Mods and Admins will decide the course of action to do with the offending user.

* 4.4 Pornographic material may not be posted here. It will be deleted and could result in the offending user's account becoming banned.

* 4.5 Spamming the forum intentionally and annoyingly is not allowed. It will be deleted and could result in the offending user's account becoming banned.

     Examples of spamming the forum include:
     *Multiple "Bump" posts;
     *Posting continuously in a single thread with the intention of raising post count, and;
     *"Send this message to x number of people" posts.

5. Membership
* 5.1 It is recommended, but not required, that all applicants know a member of the forum to be considered to become a new member. If you do not know any members, but still wish to join, then send Hillary (hillary.reist@gmail.com) or Bree (breerocks@gmail.com) an email, and we will consider adding you to the facebook group.

* 5.2 Once your application is submitted, either by yourself or referred another member, you may be invited to join our Facebook group "A Real Mommy Forum" to see how well you post, and see if you will enjoy posting.

* 5.3 After a certain period of time that is determined by the TCC Staff, your membership may be voted on whether or not you will become an official member at TCC. Once voted in, your registration will be approved.

* 5.4 Should anyone try to join without having their membership application voted on, it may result in their membership taking a lot longer to be approved, or terminated.

* 5.5 In order to become a full-fledged member, you must have 250 legitimate posts on the main forums. In addition to reaching 250+ posts, each member MUST post a thread in the Member Profiles Forum, located Here, and filling out the Member Profile. When you become a full member, you will be allowed to access the Announcements Forum, the Voting Polls, and the Private Threads in Relationships, and you will be allowed to have a special rank and group colour for your name.

6. General Rules and Information
* 6.1 Pictures, full names, personal information, or posts made by our members on the forum may never be posted without permission of the poster elsewhere, and will result in a ban.

* 6.2 All members have the right to hide their Status from the general public if they so choose. Admins and Mods are still able to see all who are online, for safety reasons. If this becomes a problem the Mods and Admins will work something out to rectify the situation, which may involve taking this right away from specific users and/or resulting in a ban.

     Examples of hiding Statuses becoming a problem:
     * Hiding in order to surprise attack a person, and;
     *"Lurking" for an extended period of time without posting.

* 6.3 Should any member not post or visit the forums for 3 months without an explanation of their departure, their account will be terminated.
** 6.3.1 A Notification email will be sent out to all members who have not visited the Forum after 30 days (without explanation), warning them that, if they do not post within 60 days, their account will be deleted. A secondary email will be sent out 30 days after that, warning them that if they do not post within 30 days, their account will be terminated. A third and final warning email will be sent one week before termination of their account, warning them that they have 1 week to post, otherwise their account will be terminated.
